We are certainly living in interesting times! Wasn’t it just last week our biggest concern was the high water level of Lake Michigan? Now the whole world seems to have changed, and in a very short time!
I don’t “tweet” or do Facebook® or any of those social media type things, but I do want to keep in touch with parishioners in some way. I thought having Andrea and Cecilia put a quick note on Facebook and the parish website every now and then would be a way to do that.
While we’re talking about keeping in touch, I think it’s important that, as we abide by the recommendations for “social distancing,” that we still do not isolate ourselves. People need people. That’s the way God made us. Is there someone you’d like to talk to? Give them a call! Can you think of someone who might appreciate a call? Go for it!
These are very unusual circumstances we are all living through. One way we can help one another is just to be present. Even if we can’t be physically present we can still be humanly present.
